Our Community

Situated on the southern shores of Georgian Bay in Ontario, Canada, sits the quaint Municipality of Meaford. Approximately 11,000 residents call Meaford home, although seasonal residents and tourists increase the population all year long. Located 30 minutes West of Collingwood, the Municipality of Meaford’s North West side borders Owen Sound with its South East side bordering the Town of the Blue Mountains.

Experience Meaford outdoors! The Bruce Trail roams through the municipality; as does the trail of Trout Hollow which goes from The Bakeshop Bridge (across from Beautiful Joe Park) along both sides of the river and through Trout Hollow to the Riverside Community Centre on the 7th line. Also, located in Meaford is the Georgian trail which follows the old railway line for 34 kms into the city of Collingwood.

Whether you are looking for breathtaking sights, interesting historical facts, or entertaining parks and playgrounds, you are sure to find it in Meaford. Rotary has been a part of the Meaford community since 1937.
